Why does it say my transfer's complete when the money hasn't arrived yet?

Updated over 4 months ago

We mark your transfer as "Complete" once the funds are sent to the recipient’s bank.

If your recipient hasn’t received the money yet, here are few possible reasons:

Processing Times at the Receiving Bank:

While the sender’s bank has completed its part, the recipient's bank might still be processing the incoming payment. Some banks take longer to update account balances, especially for cross-border or high-value transfers.

Cutoff Times and Weekends:

If SWIFT or TARGET transfer was initiated near the end of the business day or over the weekend, it might not be fully processed until the next working day.

Intermediary Banks:

For international transfers, intermediary banks might be involved. These banks process and forward the payment, which can take additional time.

Currency Conversion:

If the transfer involves converting money into a different currency, this can also introduce delays due to processing by forex services.

Compliance Checks:

Larger or unusual transactions may undergo additional checks for regulatory or anti-fraud compliance, delaying the final transfer.
