Source of Wealth is an explanation of how a customer has built their overall wealth over time – for example through salary, business profits, investments, sale of property, or other commercial activities. It describes the activities that created the customer’s net worth (what they own minus what they owe), not the exact amount.
Bilder collects SoW information not to calculate or prove the precise value of the customer’s total wealth, but to understand:
how the customer makes their money; and
where relevant, how any material beneficial owners have generated their wealth.
This follows the Wolfsberg Group definition.
Shortly - the source of human well-being is the accumulated valuable assets of an individual during his life: deposit balances on accounts, car, real estate, jewelry, works of art, etc.
