If you don’t have the currency you need in your account, you can still spend money. We will automatically convert the relevant funds current currency rate of the International Card Scheme (Mastercard rate). Information on Currency exchange rate available on the website of the International Cards Scheme https://www.mastercard.com/global/currencyconversion/index.html.

Examples of how our conversion technology works:

  • If you’re buying something for 100 EUR and you have 150 EUR in your card account, it’s free to spend;

  • If you’re buying something for 100 USD and you have card currency in EUR with balance 150 EUR, we’ll convert the amount needed from your available balances, and charge a conversion fee;

  • If you’re buying something for 100 EUR and you have card currency in EUR with only 90 EUR and account balance also in USD, then the transaction will be declined with the reason insufficient card balance;

Some terminals will ask you to select the currency they charge on the card. We recommend using the home currency in the country you're in, so you can take advantage of our conversion rates.
